I have a Globlin Kraken and I just want to change the FBL tray to the dampened one, as in the picture. But the only pads I have at the moment are Futaba Gyro Pads, which are soft and have some dampening there too. Do I run into trouble with this combination? Can there be too much dampening?
I run Spirit Pro, still on 2.8 software. The heli flies fine, the vibrations on the bench are fine, but the rescue makes the heli quite tilted often, so I don't use it, and I wanted to fix this part.

You might want to try the version 3.1.0 firmware update first. The release notes advertise "Completely new algorithms for Rescue and Stabilisation modes: ... It brings significant advancements in precision, reliability and flexibility. ..." This is likely to solve your issue.

Spirit units require no dampening in order to make work, including rescue.
Could you confirm vibrations are really low when measuring with Tail rotor blades? Especially at the Aileron - Y axis.
Dampening could be fine for a combustion motors where vibrations are really very high.
But as soon as you will need it for electric helicopter, the issue is rather in the mechanics and is rather big.
Anyway lower vibration level is always better.
Firm mounting with hard mounting tape is better than when unit is bouncing.

Certainly it can help. But the real problem could be hidden. It can be either not vibration. But with Vibration analysis we can make sure.
You can spoolup with tail blades usually safely. But before opening Spektrum Analysis, set rudder position so that tail blades are exactly at the center (no pitch).
Then it will just stay at the spot. But be very carefull anyway. It is better to do the measurement where no light objects are. Ideally at outside. And also at least 2m far from the model.

Hm, was anything changed in Spirit 3.1 if it comes to special functions? I wanted to test the vibes. I have it configured like on the image, and made radio send +100 on this channel when a switch is on. When doing on the bench, the state becomes "Enabled".
And I enabled the switch after spool up for a second, the disabled it.
But when I repower connect the Spirit to the PC, the "In Flight" vibration analysis graph is empty.
I'm pretty sure I got it working some time ago...

Vibration Analysis will always reset after power off. So it is needed to have battery connected.
