Binding a Spektrum remote receiver

I will be using my Spktrum DX9 radio with a remote serial receiver, SPM4651T.
This has a push button for binding.
But the integration section in the manual says to insert a bind plug...

So, do I insert a plug, or use the button?

Thanks

Hello,

please check the correct page - for SRXL2 receivers:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... trum_SRXL2

No bing plug is used here, just the button.

OK, I see now.
But the comment at the end says to connect the red/brown into the RUD socket. So, how does the rudder get signal commands.

Thanks again

The port is called RUD and is used for Rudder INPUT in PWM connection.
Since recent receivers are utilizing just single line wiring only one port is needed.
RUD port is free so it is used for powering.
And AIL pin is used for bi-directional data transfer.

It has nothing to do with servos.

Rudder servo is connected at the CH4 always.

OK, I understand, now :

1) So, the power red/blac plug is intended for power from the Spirit Pro into the SPM4651T satellite RX, is that correct?
2) If so, the Satellite comes with a cable of 4 wires (obviously to be matched with a Spektrum Rx) but I see from the picture that the SRXL2 adapter on the website , only uses 3 wires split into to plugs. Can you please tell me how to map the wires? On the Satellite cable the wires are:

black -
yellow -
grey -
brown -
The above are somewhat unconventional colours - which of them is Power / Ground - Grey / Brown or the Yellow / Black.

On the SRXL2 adapter showing on the website the wires are :
black , red , yellow

Many thanks

just take a look into the Spektrum 4651T manual - everything well descibed: https://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/Fil ... ual-EN.pdf ;) and YES, N/C means not connected or not used...

OK, I looked in the manual. This unit has a plug with 4 wires (the grey one is not used).

It seems, I need to CUT the other end of that cable and use 3 of the wires to be connected like this link:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... 2C_SPM9747

Or am I wrong?

Thank you

Yes, the cable should be exactly as described in the manual.
You can order the cable from our eshop or do it yourself, if you can.

But, why do I need to order a cable. The satellite serial RX comes with a cable, I intend to just cut one end of it and attach the normal black plastic to the ends as described in the Spirit manual in a clear picture. That is why I wanted to confirm the wires of the RX and the corresponding wires for the Spirit as showing in the manual

Thanks again

ON an unrelated topic - I only got to see your response because I check regularly if anybody posted an answer to my query, but I DO NOT get an email notification on it. I must be doing something wrong when I post the question, hope you can point it out to me

Thank you
