If i use throttle hold method for my autorotation bailout(13% throttle, throttle lowered enough for motor to stop), does bailout timeout after a set amount of time?

I think i read 5 seconds somewhere but i can't find it now.

No, spirit ARB does not time out like most esc governors. If you need to reset it so that you get a soft start you need to set a throttle cut or other switch to show the FBL unit a lower than 12% value at least momentarily.

Hobbywing Esc ARB i.e. does time out... the value can be set in the HW config. i've set mine i.e. to 25"... long enough for auto training, but if you let the heli spool down normally after landing the ARB is already disarmed and heli will spool up soft. as i am using TH too that's good for security... if you forget to set throttle kill switch the heli is at least not in ARB quick spool up mode anymore.

check it with your Esc to be sure.

nb: .... Sorry, i guess this is exactly what you meant by "does not time out like most esc..." ;)
cheers
