Hello,

I recently bought a used Helicopter with a Spirit FBL Unit, connected with S-Bus to a FrSky X4R receiver. I bought as well a brand new FrSky Taranis X9 Lite S.

I updated the receiver and sender to the latest firmware and installed the Spirit Script in order to programm the Spirit Unit.

Here is the funny thing, when I access the SD card and start the Spirit Script in Sub directory Taranis X9, the script starts and the little bar at the top of the screen runs from left to right, but no variable shows up. I also don't get any error.

If I go in the sub directory for the Taranis X7 and start the script, the variables show up and I can change them, but I am not able to save them. Or I do something wrong when saving them ( I found no documentation how to save settings ).

I attached my Taranis X9 Lite S settings from OpenTX Companion. (Well, I think I can't add the attachment, got an error when uploading : Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.)

Looking forward to any help.

Hello,

maybe you have some banks configured. And for bank that is selected no settings are available for selected page.

What OpenTX version do you have?

Settings can be saved by pressing Save Settings, always in the last page :)

I am using Open TX Version 2.3.9.-frksy
Date 2020-06-17
EEPR: 219

Is there any way, I can add files to the post here in the forum? I have some screenshots. If I start the X9 Script, I can not select differnt Banks or even reach the point of saving on the last page.

On the X7 Script, I see some variables, and also see and be able to access the save option on the last page, but the settings are not saved. If I read them next time, they are back where they have been before. I get an visual OK when I click on the Save option.

Screenshots available, but can´t share them in the forum.

You can attach screenshots to your posts. The form for this is under text field where you are writing new post.

Just select the file and click at the Attach file. Then Submit the post.

Ok, I uploaded my files to wetransfer.
https://we.tl/t-UFfq2PBRoe

There are 2 zip files, one contains the OpenTX Version with Firmware information of my Taranis X9 Lite s and the Screenshots of the pages when I start the X9 basic script.

The other file contains the information about the X7 basic script.

As you can see, the X7 script talks somehow to the Spirit unit, whil the X9 script doesn´t. However, it doesn´t matter which script I use, I can´t change or save settings.

I also uploaded the OpenTX Companion file for my reciever, as I use it right now.

I hope I get this problem solved. Appriciate your help.

Is there anything else I can provide to solve the problem?

Right now I can't fly my helicopter. See my other topic in the forum.

Mike,

I think the guys don’t download from your link...I will try and dust off my OpenTx transmitter and take a look to see if I figure out what you are talking about.

You may also want to post on Helifreak Spirit forum (https://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=373) as you can post files there without a problem. Most of us frequent there too.

Hi James,

Thanks a lot, much appreciated.

I tried another browser but still get the same error when uploading files.

I will sing up at helifreaks and post the issue there as well. Meanwhile I ordered the Wifi Link cable, maybe with the PC software I have better luck.

If you find out something, please let me know.

Mike

PS: Toward the board owner, I am a software developer and can help you finding out what the problem with the board is, also I would recommend that you use HTTPS, I can help you guys with that as well. Just send me a message.

It look like OpenTX firmware has some recent changes which made it incompatible with our scripts.
So downgrade could help as temporarily solution. Please try to attach files again.
There was limit for 2MB uploads.
