Hi, I have just purchased a Spirit Pro & Geolink to go on my Goblin 500. I have fitted it and using Stabi > coaxial it stabilises flight pretty well. When I turn on Position Hold It seems to drift to the back and left - I have to hold a fair bit of forward elevator and right aileron.
I zero'd out the Geolink once I mounted it as the boom on this heli it tilted slightly, this seemed to fix things for 1 flight but then it went back to the same behaviour as before.
I've checked the vibrations and it all seems to be within tolerances.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
did you calibrate the GeoLink compass?
So Coaxial mode is working always properly but Position Hold not, am I right?

Yes, you are correct, Coaxial mode works well, Position Hold requires lots of stick input.
Thanks for the super fast support
Do you remember if Coaxial mode was working properly also after Position Hold mode was tested or you were testing always Coaxial mode and then Position Hold.
I want to know if Coaxial mode was working well also for example at the end of the flight, not at the beginning.
Generally this page could help:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... ise_Rescue
The behavior should be identical for all modes - Rescue, Stabilisation, GeoLink features (Position Hold, Return to Home, GeoFence).
For this reason it is strange Coaxial mode is working well.

I can test it any way you want me to, just give me the parameters.
I have read that page but it didn't help. I have noticed the odd twitch of the swashplate when spooling up - is that normal?
Please check this page:

I hope it can help you. In short - please try Coaxial mode with no GeoLink feature enabled. And then at least hover for 2-3 minutes. If at the end flying will work normally, it is good. Then the problem might be in other settings and we will find it together.

I will try that tomorrow, thanks.ZeXx86 wrote:Please check this page:

With coaxial on, should I have to make any stick inputs at all to remain hovering in 1 position?
It has been quite windy here in the UK today so I have found that I have had to use some input but the heli has been very stable with just coaxial turned on.
Tomorrow is supposed to be very calm so I will try again and then try the compass calibration again and report back.
I had already set Stabi Correction ON but I will try with both ON and off and report findings.
Thanks
Very well, if the behavior is not changing during flight then it is good.
Some small corrections are needed for hovering at the spot. But with Position Hold it should hover with no cyclic corrections.
Then I am afraid the only thing that could be wrong is compass calibration.
With Position Hold will the model stop at some point?
Can you take a photo of how GeoLink is mounted?

I calibrated the compass again then tried a flight - it did not hold position, it was drifting but it did not require me to hold stick input.
I then landed and increased the Geolink Horizontal gain to 90% - this resulted in requiring forward elevator input to remain stationary.I put the settings back as before but the issue remained - When engaging position hold I can see the heli tilt backwards on the ground.
I also tried enabling the Stabi Correction but that did not help - could this be a faulty Geolink?
Thanks for all the help.
