I"m running 11 deg +/- now. I think this means that anytime I'm flying, the "downward" direction is changed effectively to 5.5 deg "downward", while the upward is still 11. Is that the case?
The AG adjustment in the Spirit software goes from 0 - 50%
Yes, with the max. of 50% AG your "downward" pitch is limited to -5.5 deg
I would start with 25% and look what suits your flight style.
I set it to 50% and few two packs in my Gaui X3 and two packs in a tri-blade (Qube) Oxy3. I'm not sure I really "felt" much different than normal inverted flying, but I will fly more. To really test I guess I need to enable Banks so I can switch back and forth. Sure wish this feature was on a channel so that I could have no banks and just enable the feature like Rescue, but use the channel input as the 0-50 "gain/input value".
You should rather feel difference when model is moving towards the ground.
Channel adjustment will be available in next version. This version we dont wanted to cause problems with channel mapping, because this addition will require doing channel mapping for special functions again.
Once I set it up in Banks - the toggling back and forth really made me appreciate the change. I have dialed it way down now to 10% and 20% when enabled.
I would encourage anyone on 3.2 to give it a try. May not be needed but interesting to experience.
I have been experimenting this feature with my Protos 380.
I got nice behaviour anywhere between 15-25%, depends on your flying style. I left it at 25% for this heli and I got very nice slow flips and transitions.
I will try later with my XL 550
