Downgrade 3.2 to 2.8

Hi all,
What is the process for downgrading from 3.2 to 2.8 please? I tried installing Spirit Settings 3.0.1, downloading 2.8.0 and flashing, but it failed and I had to use recovery mode to put 3.2.0 back on.

I followed the 3.0 -> 2.8 sticky but no joy.

EDIT: forgot about the release notes saying the flash procedure has changes from 3.2 onwards. I've PMed the developer. Does anyone else have the files handy already please?
