Hi,
Just installed Spirit RS in my T-Rex 450LP Dominator. Followed installation guide/wizard and all good. Throttle assigned to Channel 1 and calibrated with my Jeti DS 12 (low stick=0, high stick=100). Used a separate battery for setting up the spirit unit.
Next step i connected my brushless ESC to motor and THR port in spirit unit. When connecting power to the system the ESC constantly beeps and no response when moving the throttle stick. I have done no calibration of the ESC after unpacking my ready to fly T-rex 450 (attached picture of the components in the package). I have been flying the helicopter with the components in the package but have now updated to Jeti DS12 transmitter and Spirit RS.
Please help!
Motor not starting, constant beeping from ESC
Hi,
you have to calibrate the Esc when connected to Spirit RS unit THR port... just follow the Esc&Spirit manual on how to do this for your Esc. Actually your Esc is most probably not seeing any correct "0" signal on throttle channel.
before you can do this: did you activate throttle channel #1 in Spirit setup tool? (channel setup). before this step your Esc will not see any signal on #1
nb: and do not forget to set failsafe after Esc setup is completed!

Hi,
it might be enough to recalibrate the ESC or just to lower the Throttle Range - Min. value. You can find it in the General/Throttle window.
You can decrease the value from 1100 to 950 and see if it will initialize.
Also make sure that your Throttle value is really at 0% in the Diagnostic tab. If it is too high, the ESC will not arm for safety reasons.
