Thanks
When I open the software it says USB interface is not detected. I assume this is still a driver issue?
Thanks

Yes, you are right. Only when you will see a Device there, then it can communicate with Spirit unit. So for now you do not have to even power up the unit until you will see it there.
It is very important to allow driver module in the Preferences/Security pane. Because sometimes it does not ask for permissions.

I reinstalled the driver. Started in recovery mode and can see the device but still can't connect?

It just started working! There must be an issue with the permissions...
Very well

Hello,
I recently upgraded my MacBook and Spirit.
Macbook to 10.15.7
Spirit and Spirit Settings to 3.3.3
I also upgraded the SiLabs driver to 6.0.2
If Spirit is initialized when I start Spirit-Settings, Spirit-Settings crashes almost immediately, like 1 or 2 seconds.
I am attaching the crash log from the last time I started it.
If Spirit is not initialized, then Spirit-Settings doesn't find it and I'm prompted to pick a mode of operation. Recovery does not connect once Spirit is initialized.
Setup Wizard will let me configure Spirit, I can save settings, but I can't ever get them back.
Help, please...

Hi
if you wait a bit after the crash, macOS should ask you if the app should be restarted... did you try that? even several times? i had a similar problem twice on Catalina, both times it was gone after just one successful restart. actually on Big Sur it's flawless on all of our Intel and M1 macs.
btw: maybe you could try to delete the Spirit Settings and reinstall it (if you did not after macOS upgrade)... and check if there are some blocked software messages in macOS system settings / security after reinstall.
Ciao

It can be useful to monitor the system logs with the Console app while you are opening the Spirit software. The crash will produce messages in the console that can give you clues to where the problem is. Console is found in Applications\Utilities.
