Goblin 380 KSE setup

I'm trying to set my Goblin 380 up with a DX9

I can get the swash to react correctly to the elev/ail, but then the collective operates strangely. If I get the collective to operate ok, the elev/ail is odd. No matter what I do the fbl reaction on the swash is wrong.

The DX9 is set 120° ccpm NOT reversed. All the servos are NOT reversed. Spirit diagnostics show everything is going the correct way.

Spirit is set to ccpm 120 reversed, the unit set to pins facing forward.

It must be something silly I've done, as I set up a 2 blade head goblin in the past without any issues!

Any ideas?

You have your servo wires mixed up in FBL do not do any servo reversing in DX9 all is done in spirit set up .

I've swapped the servo wires around but can't seem to resolve the issue.

Am away for a couple of days, but will try swapping them again when I get back.

Been thinking it may be permanently switched on 'rescue' as I modified the vbar set up on my TX??

you have to set the TX to 90°
and check that all tx reverse are correct in the diagnostic page of spirit program

Ironically, I had to set my trex450 to 90° to get it work, will try it tomorrow when I'm home.

because when you set the transmitter at 90° ( also called H1 ) all channels are sent to fbl unmixed
then is the fbl that mix them at 120° ( or 135/140 and so on ) to suit the helicopter mechanics

so, to recap:
- set your TX to 90° H1
- set spirit to 120°
- launch spirit settings and check in the diagnostic tab
that all channels follow the transmitter movements
( if needed you can use reverse in the tx )
- only now you can check if all servo move correctly and if needed
you can use the spirit reverse in the servo tab of spirit settings

Hi,
I kindly ask you for support, this is my first 3 blade heli.
My tx is with the same setup like for 2 blades.
All movement directions are ok, i used the template for 2 blade goblin.
Is any virtual rotation for the swash plate necessary for the KSE 3 blade rotor?
Measuring the 6° angle during the setup at 90° position of the blade to the boom?

You will find in the manual of the rotor head if some virtual phase rotation is needed.
The most rotor heads do not require any rotation. So you can leave 0°.
Yes, blade should be above boom when measuring 6°.
