FrSky R9 with uSpirit

Still working on this, trying to get FrSky X7S / R9 Access receiver to work with uSpirit... s-bus...

Right now I'm stuck as channel 2 (aileron) will not calibrate correctly in Spirit software... I can get the unit to about -70 and +100 .. The radio system says that it is putting out the correct range but beyond a certain point on the negative there is no change in Spirit...

Any fix for this?

Do I need that special cable for the s-bus? I didn't think so because the other channels range seems fine...
