I'm waiting around for my Nimbus to ship so I decided to get the electronics as far as I can. I have a YGE esc and got the JST telemetry cable. I was up late and missed the part about pulling the red wire. I powered it all up. Today I pulled it and sent it to PIT as is is supposed to be rpm. So far, all telemetry works like it should from what I can tell. There is a warning in the manual and I'm worried I fried something.

for sure Tomas will be the only one to be really able to answer this. but i guess there is no big risk you fried something: if it was the red bin of the BLUE (telemetry) cable of the YGE, this is only rpm signal, not + (plus) pin of the BEC.
cheers

If you can get still 3.3V out of the JST ports then all is good. You can measure it at JST cable when it is connected with a multimeter across red and brown wires.
If you can measure the voltage, then it is all OK.
But even if no, then it mean that one of the LDO is burned, fortunately Spirit GT has two, while the second one is used for powering the electronics inside. It would be cheap repair in any case.

I really appreciate the detailed response. Multimeter shows 3.3 out of the FBL so whew. All good.
