I have set up a Spirit GT (latest firmware) with a Futaba SBUS receiver and Kontronik Kolibri 140HVi telemetry both connected to the rudder port on the Spirit. Everything is working as expected including telemetry, but I get these random glitches as in the enclosed video. They occur randomly with between 5 and 90 seconds between the glitches. I do not see any error messages in the log. I do not dare to fly it so will have to find the cause and a solution.

Any ideas what could cause this?

Edit: I have found the source of the source of the problem, but do not know the solution so please advice. As mentioned, I have plugged both the Kontronik telemetry cable and Futaba SBUS receiver into the rudder port on the Spirit using a Y-cable. By removing the Kontronink telemetry connector so that I just plug the SBUS receiver into the rudder port the glitches go away. Another observation is that when I connected the wifi module to the Spirit, the problem got significantly worse which perhaps indicates a noise issue. The ESC is quite a bit away from the Spirit and there is a long cable from the ESC to the Spirit (I am using the original Kontronik supllied cable which is around 30 cm long I believe) which also includes a 10 cm Y-cable. Is it possible to use the old style SAT1 port for Kontronik telemetry on the Spirit GT and keep the SBUS receiver connected to the rudder port?

Check that you have not got auto rescue enabled...

I have it enabled but only in bank 2 and only on a switch. It is not active when the glitch occurs.

I have found the source of the problem (but not a solution) and have updated the original post with further details.

Hello,

have you connected Kontronik telemetry cable according our guide?

http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... _Telemetry

There should be never any Y-cable connected at the RUD port, especially connected to kontronik telemetry output.
Only stright cables between receiver and unit and between ESC and Spirit.

Thanks for the input and resolution.

I thought this was different for the Spirit GT. On Futaba FBLs, both the Kontronik telemetry and SBUS receiver outputs are connected to the SBUS connector on the FBL. And I got telemetry to work. But apparently the Spirit is different so will connect the Kontronik telemetry to the separate connection port.
