[SOLVED] problem updating geolink v2 to 1.3.1
I tried to update a brand new geolink v2 from 1.3.0 to 1.3.1, this is with a spirit 2 version 3.4.2. The update began normally but wouldn't finish. The green bar on the spirit screen went to 100% but it never said finished. The geolink v2 keep rapid blue blinking, after 10 minutes of this I disconnect the power and geolink V2. When I repowered with the geolink V2 connected the blue blinking light kept going and the screen said geolink not connected. Is this geolink v2 defective?
I believe that your GeoLink is not defective since it worked before update.
Please use Recovery mode for flashing the GeoLink firmware.
You can just start the software normally, click at the Flash button and then select Recovery mode.
Then after confirmation re-plug GeoLink cable to the unit. From this moment flashing process will start.
If not, please repeat. It is important to plug the cable rather faster to the unit - not with a long delay.
Alternatively this could happen if before update you pressed calibration request button. Then the module is in the calibration mode.
It should be enough to repower the module 3 times. Then compass calibration mode is turned off.
