Hi
When using Altitude Hold is not Altitude Stability.
The heli always moves up and down by about 3m.
Who can help me to find the right setting so that the heli keeps the altitude stable?

Maybe this will help. I had the same problem after a crash. Didn't check the basic settings correctly. When I activated subtrim in the menu, the blade holders were not at zero degrees pitch. What's also important: servo arm 90 degrees to the servo.

Hello Dieter, thank you very much for your tip.
Checked everything before the flight.
The settings are all fine.
Otherwise, the helicopter flies great, it only has its difficulties with maintaining altitude.

Hello,

please set Vertical Correction Gain to the minimum value and then increase it.

If GeoLink has somehow limited sight to the sky it could cause such imprecision too. I dont know what is mounting on your model, so it is hard to help more without a further details :(

Hi
Thank you very much for the help.
I will try like this.
The Geo Link is totally free to the sky, it is attached to the tail boom.

Many greetings

Hi

I have exact the same problem with altitude hold. It worked just fine with firmware 3.2 but after upgrading to 3.4.3 the heli starts to jump up and down about three meters. Could it be that the most recent firmware is not suited for geolink v1?

Hello,

we recommend to readjust Vertical Correction Gain. It must work well with all GeoLink modules.
You can start even with the lowest value. It should be actually much more stable with the latest version. I hope this can help you.
Let me know how it will work.

Please read ChangeLog for all the versions from 3.2 to 3.4.3. to see what is different.

Hello ZeXx86

Tested yesterday yesterday.
T-rex 500 Geo Link v1
Vertical adjustment to 40% has become much worse with this setting, had to stop the attempt immediately.
When trying to hold position, the helicopter drifted to the left. Attempt aborted immediately!
When attempting Altitude Limit: On (1) Variable hard deck altitude, the heli climbs over 1.5 seconds.
Had to turn off the altitude limit otherwise the heli would be back to how it was a few days ago (see my other letter)
blown up into the sky.
You have checked the GeoLink settings and found them to be good.

Many greetings

Hello,

for now I can recommend to try to disable all GeoLink features in both Channels and GeoLink - Aid Tab and then enable only one feature you wish to check - for example Altitude Hold.
It seems like some of two features are somehow fighting each other - even if they are not engaged. Possibly this could resolve all your problems.
We are doing testing with GeoLink v1 now and will get back.

Will Position Hold stop for example 1 meter away or drifting is much bigger?

Hi

Thank for your reply. Question: according to changelog 3.4.2 minimal vertical gain = 1. I can only go as low as 20. What am I missing
