A question on phasing a 5 blade head. I notice there are degrees of up to 90 and also -90. I know I need to move the swash a full 90 degrees but how do I know if I need +90 or -90?
Thanks, T
5 blade phasing
When you are moving elevator stick forward and backward, you should see correct direction of the swashplate movement.
At the same time parallel blade with the boom should not move at all. But the rest of the blades should move.
When moving with aileron stick then parallel blade should move.

Thank you for the reply. I think I have that right. Now when checking the gyro corrections, when moving the elevator stick should I see the blade grips move the opposite way? In other words, stick forward, grips move forward. Tilt helicopter forward, grips move backwards. It's a bit difficult to watch the swash plate because it does not move in a normal way. Hope this makes sense.
