Hello. I’m new to Spirit, Frsky and heli’s in general. Was wondering if someone could help me with wiring everything together. I’ve tried to decipher the pictures in the manual but they only give half the answer.

My setup includes the following. Spirit GT, Frsky TD R10, CC Bec Pro.
TIA

Hello,

for wiring the receiver:
https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... FrSky_FBUS

for wiring the throttle:
https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... TOR_WIRING

for wiring the servos:
https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... VOS_WIRING

If you will use the Setup Wizard in the Spirit Settings then all this is described there.

Thanks for taking time to reply.
I told you I was new and don’t really want to fry expensive electronics. So a couple of questions.

1. The cable from the ele/tail pin is a normal cable with 3 active wires?
2. The cable from the ele/tail pin Is powering the receiver or does it need its own power supply? If so will it not back feed into the spirit?
3. The cable from the ele/tail pin goes where on the receiver? A normal pin or the special jst connector on the TD R10?

Thanks.

Do NOT put power on the Ele/Pit/Ail connector! This is clearly stated in the documentation

That connector is used for all kinds of things but mostly the middle pin is used for RPM input from an ESC - single pin

For the FBUS connector you connect to the RUD input on the Spirit and to the S.Port connector on the TD.
The rudder input can be used for the power connector to the receiver.

1. No, it is not normal port. It is special port which is not carry any power.
2. No power supply to ELE/PIT/AIL port should be connected. There is no power either.
3. This port is used only with PWM connection. Your receiver allows SBUS, FPORT and FBUS protocols. We recommend using FBUS.
FBUS wiring can be found at the link I sent to you. Only stright cable between RUD port and your receiver S.PORT.

Thanks for your help. I’ve managed to get it powered up. The receiver manual might as well not exist, useless 1 pager. Now I’ll have to see what happens when I hook up the servo’s :)

Great, the most important is to connect BEC/ESC correctly.
But servos should be not a problem. Spirit unit can be disconnected/powered up any time so you can connect and check one by one.
Make sure to set Center Pulse first if your servos are 760us.
