Spirit Aero - General basic questions

I have a question on Spirit Aero. Is Spirit Aero just an airplane firmware that can be installed onto any existing Spirit unit (GTR, RS, GT, R2, etc.), or is Spirit Aero a dedicated hardware different than the other Spirit FBL units?
Aero firmware is available for all existing Spirit units.
Then there is the Spirit Aero unit where only Aero firmware can be installed.
Then there is the Spirit Aero unit where only Aero firmware can be installed.
Spirit System (Spirit W1, RS & GTR & all the others)

I don’t see the “Spirit Aero unit” available. Has it been discontinued?

I am trying to use a Spirit GT unit in an airplane and so I must flash aero firmware to the unit. I have been unable to find any aero firmware for downloading. I have looked at the link suggested in the forum ( https://www.spirit-system.com/download.php ) but I do not see the firmware on that page. Please can someone direct me to the page where I can download it and, if available, instructions for using Windows to flash the unit.

Run the Spirit Settings software and go to the update page, bottom left is the firmware list, click down arrow and a list of available firmwares will come up. Spirit Aero 1.7.0 (16.3.23) looks to be the most recent....
