Spirit GT problem - won't initialise after update to 3.5.0

I have a Spirit GT which I think was running 3.4.1 firmware.
I was having issues where the unit appeared to initialise but I could not move servos using transmitter.
After several attempts powering off system and repowering unit everything worked fine.

I was concerned so I tried to update software and firmware to 3.5.0
Update reported successful with a solid blue led on Spirit GT but Software will no longer connect to Spirit GT.
Repowering unit results in blue flashing led and no communication.
I have tried recovery mode several times but still not working.

How do I get my unit working again?

Unfortunately I do not have a .spirit-flash.cfg in my documents folder.

Do you have a spirit paper box? There is serial number written there. We will need it if possible.
Could you also send your IPv4 address to a private message? We will assign special firmware there which should resolve the issue.

Everything appears to be working as it should now.

It turns out I had a defective BEC cable.
