If altitude hold and position hold are engaged will 1/2 throttle+collective stick be the point where the helicopter stays at current altitude?

I guess you could also flip the model upside down and it would hold the altitude there too?

Then to lower or raise the model you just have to move the sticks either up or down?

Currently installing on a new OMP M4 using a Futaba T18SZH Transmitter.....

If altitude hold and position hold are on .you can only turn them off , you can not do anything else.

I don't understand your answer!

Won't moving either the throttle+Collective stick (+ o - altitude) or Elevator and Aileron cyclic stick change the position until returned to center???

Please take a look in the manual.

It is not true what is stated here. You can control model in all axes and fly with it even when these functions are engaged - depending on mode that you will set.
With Position Hold you can't flip the model but when Altitude Hold is enabled it will hold altitude even when doing flips.
Please note when Position Hold is enabled upside down, it will hold upside down.
