Hello,

in a normal circumstances you will not see firmware for GeoLink v2 when using v1 and vice versa.
You can see them only when using Recovery mode. In this mode Spirit unit is unable to find which module you will want to recover, because it does not operate at all.

If you will check firmware list now, you will see just v1 firmwares, because now your GeoLink is operating correctly.
Regarding update there is nothing else than clicking at the Flash button.

We have no idea why you were unable to flash firmware in a normal way, there were no details from you. Only that it does not work after years. Maybe it happened few years back, but it is only guessing.
In other words, Recovery mode is used only when normal firmware flashing failed. In that case all instrucitons for Recovery mode are displeyed directly in the software.

Please let us know what is unclear for you.

For anyone else encountering this issue, try resetting your main spirit unit to factory settings (after backing your settings).

I spent hours troubleshooting a geolink that appeared to be functional (blue light behaving as it should) but would refuse to be recognized in the software and would not flash or enter recovery. The step that finally fixed it was to reset my main unit to factory settings, then do a recovery flash on the geolink unit. Everything works as it should now

I'm using a spirit pro with a geolink V1.
