Now it's getting exciting:
After my RAW 420 with the Spirit GTR and Geolink behaved completely unpredictably on one of several flights when Geolink functions were activated (this may also have been the reason for the crash), this is also the case today on a flight with my RAW 700 happen. Everything was fine on the other flights.
After the problematic flights, the LED of the Spirit no longer lit up continuously on both helicopters, but regularly went out for a short moment. Also, I have no record of altitude and number of satellites in the logs of my DS-16 II for these flights. The telemetry of the other non-geolink data has been recorded normally.
Does somebody has any idea?
Spirit GTR mit Geo-Link: Absturz mit Höhenrettung
Hello,
when landing GeoLink will do the log saving (if there is a free space).
This is indicated by LED light turned Off for a small moment.
If this is happening more often then:
a) GeoLink is loosing connection randomly
b) There is something wrong with powering up GeoLink - for example something else that is connected to the unit such as a third party telemetry cable. Overtemperature of the Spirit unit.
c) GeoLink is hit by electrostatic discharges resetting itself randomly - this can happen with any belt driven model if tail is not grounded.
If GeoLink connection is lost then any GeoLink feature is turned off and model will fly normally. So it can eventually fly in any direction as in a normal flight mode.
You can also try to turn off GeoLink logging temporarily if there will be some change.

No external factor other than for example same wiring problem with telemetry cable.
Does it mean your models are flying for around 15 minutes?
I am trying to find any non standard condition which for example 15+ minutes operation could be.

If you can see Spirit LED light to blink this mean unit is in the configuration mode.
It is always needed to Close the integration menu with >> Close menu entry in the main menu, otherwise unit is in the configuration mode which is not same as Flying mode.
In this mode Bank switching by assigned switch can be inactive for example.

Hello,
I would like to add a side note, because I think this could be important - unfortunately, with the integration, I sometimes have to go into the integration menu several times to stop the flashing of the FBL, even if I do it normally without any changes want to get out of the integration menu, i.e. quite normally with "Close Menue" and the security query - For me, this means that I always have to remove the canopy after a setting in the integration menu to check whether the Spirit (LED) is now permanently lit again or is still flashing - you can't trust blindly at the moment and I'm asking myself if something could be intercepted by the software so that it works 100% safely - I think some users have this issue, if not all of them? I have FrSky, Tanja, as I have seen Jeti - maybe here could still something optimized ?
Regards
