I have a Spirit GT with a HW ESC and a AR6610T as primary reciever. All is working fine with several flights.
Wanting to add a SPM9745 as a Satellite receiver.
My question is the wiring. I have the ESC wired into Sat1 on the FBL as per Spirit instructions to enable Telemetry. When wiring the Sat, the Spirit instructions state, "If you want to use only one satellite, you have to use the Primary (SAT-1) connector." I can not find any reference that permit the ability of either one being moved to Sat2.
Do they both have to be connected to Sat1?
If so how? Y connector?
Can one or the other be moved to Sat2?

The instructions on this seem to be unclear and conflicting.
If understand correctly, the secondary satellite receiver can be connected to the Spirit GT in either/or of the Sat1 or Sat2.
So I can leave the HW ESC plugged into Sat1 and simply plug the 9745 into Sat2.
Is that correct?

So I have everything wired correctly, I think.
Esc Telemetry in Sat1, 9745 reciever in Sat2.
When I power up the system, no lights at all come on in the 9745. I thought maybe I damaged the small delicate wire during the install. So I used another connector I had and plugged it directly in the Sat2 port, still no lights. Then tried plugging the 9745 in Sat1. Still no lights.
What I missing here?
Shouldn't there be a flashing light when in bind mode and a solid light when bound? Doesnt no lights equal no power?

Might have found a work around.
Just watched a YT vid where Tom binds the Sat Rx with a SPMFC6250HX. Since I have a Fusion 360 with the 6250, may try that then move it over to my 550.
Unfortunately at work for the next 24 days so the heli will have to wait till then.

Hello,
sorry, but I think I didn't read your post carefully enough - you have an AR6610T (SLRX2 protocol) and want to plug an SPM9745 (DSMX protocol) remote receiver into the Sat2 input of the Spirit, unfortunately that doesn't work because that there are two different protocols! The only way that really works is to plug the spm9745 into the AR6610T into the available satellite socket -

Oh. Well that might be my problem then.Mattes61 wrote:Hello,

Looking at the Ar6610t, there is an XBus and a SRXL2 port. Both are 4 pin and the 9745 is 3 pin. Will need an adapter. Which do you recommend plugging into?
Or should I have purchased the 9747
Hello,
unfortunately, my memory was wrong again and I confused it with the 6250 HX from Spektrum, I hadn't verified that - sorry !
I've now done my research again, it's the case that you don't plug the normal satellite receiver (DSMX) into the AR6610T but you must just use one SLRX2 satellite! This means that you definitely have to buy an additional remote receiver with SLRX2 protocol, for example the SPM9747, then you can consider either plugging it into the SAT2 input of the Spirit or plugging it directly into the corresponding interface of the AR6610T -
Best regards
