I built a scale heli, and I'm using the Spirit GT.
How can I free up a channel for my electric retracts? I bought a Spektrum AR6610T, which is bound and working. But, for my life, I cannot figure out how to free up a channel for the gear.
The Gyro is using the gear channel by default. The BING/PROG port on the AR6610T is connected to the RUD/ELE on the GT. So, I have five free channels on the AR6610T I was hoping to use for the gear.
Tips? Tricks?

Hello,
one trick you can do is to deactivate the gyro-Channel in Spirit Settings and make your settings directly in the FBL -
second trick is to use under special functions an dedicated output to switch your gear - I am not shure there are two possible channels which can be taken, please look in the list...

Assign F: Output to AUX2 in the channels window and select a free channel there. You can use for example channel 10. Then connect landing gear to AUX2 port.

Can I do this even with the BEC cable plugged in to AUX2?ZeXx86 wrote:Assign F: Output to AUX2 in the channels window and select a free channel there. You can use for example channel 10. Then connect landing gear to AUX2 port.
Yes, or you can use CH0 port as well.

I tried CH0 and mapped it in "Channels." But, it won't toggle. It simply says (State 1) and on. What am I doing wrong?ZeXx86 wrote:Yes, or you can use CH0 port as well.

I meant F: Output to CH0 instead of Output to AUX2 if it is unused.
But both should work, also BEC at CH0.
There is nothing else needed. It should work immediately with a servo.
You can also assign Throttle function to Channel 1. This should do the trick.

When I set Output to AUX2, I don't see the usual "Value 0/1"; I see "State: On (1)." In this mode, the value doesn't toggle like other channels.ZeXx86 wrote:I meant F: Output to CH0 instead of Output to AUX2 if it is unused.

I got the gear to work by disabling and using the Gyro channel instead. But I'd like to learn the way you suggested, too.
What have I done wrong?
