Calibration failure
I am sure we can make it work also with your original units. That is the case for all products we are producing. Even if they are damaged, we can repair all in 99% cases for few USD or for free if it is under warranty. If behavior will be different with new Spirit it mean that your unit has partial damage. Probably in internal LDO (voltage stabilization circuit). This is probably the only technical possibility where Spirit unit could be damaged - at the same time it will not affect flight, because it is used only for side JST ports.

Ok, I received the new Gt FLB
Updated it to the latest version
Geolink found 14 satellites
Selected the Calibration Tab
Unplugged the units then powered back up
No extra wires going to the FLB just power
When I powered back up, I only got a solid Blue light which flashed a couple of times
As I was going thru the calibration motions
Checked the event logs and it say calibration is done
I checked the heading and for some reason that is about 100 degrees off
So what’s going on with that

He installed another new system last night and he told me that
After he calibrated his Geolink that his compass
Heading is also off, by over a100 degrees

how did you do the calibration in your garage?
you have to do the calibration outdoors.
Now I'll tell you something.
I was doing the calibration outdoors and even if I had the satellites the calibration did not come out.
I simply had to change seats and the calibration went well.
try going to a field open without obstacles houses, walls, pylons.
Sometimes even moving 10 meters is enough but in the garage calibration cannot be done (even a wall can interfere).
push calibration button and after at the next startup put the helicopter nose pointing north (you have to see north with a normal compass)

I saw 3d experts don't understand anything about helicopters.
sometimes you just need to skip a step to set a helicopter badly, sometimes also wrap a small washer badly assembled ruins the whole helicopter setup.
and insist on the movements first small movement and after wider movement and so on widening the movements more and more

Event Log "Calibration si finished" does not refer to GeoLink but to Spirit unit. There also sensor calibration is done, but of different kind.
So it has nothing to do with each other.
Finished calibration of the GeoLink is signalized just at the GeoLink module with flashing LED light with constant frequency ON/OFF until battery is plugged off. Only this will tell you that calibration of GeoLink was finished.
GeoLink calibration can be done anywhere, but it is recommended to do outside at your flying field.
But for testing purpose you can do it also in any building.
It could be Off by 100 degrees if:
a) Calibraiton is done in very strange way - very low probability if it was really finished.
b) Measuring heading in a wrong way. Please note that when model is pointing to North it will correspond to 90 +/- 4°.
All GeoLinks are calibrated in our factory in the same way as you do (manually) to check if it is working properly. If compass heading is off just by 4° then it will not pass the test and GeoLink can't be sold. So you do not have to worry some GeoLink can't be calibrated well. All are working in the same way.

sorry can you make a video where you show a compass which direction the north points and after show how you do geolink calibration?
maybe in the video at the beginning and at the end show the geolink flashes.

I replaced the GT FLB with another new one that
I purchased from Heli Direct
Now everything is calibrated and working as it should
There is a problem with the first unit I installed
I just finished test flying and checking the different options
And everything performed as it should

So it look like the original Spirit unit is damaged.
I dont know how this happened, but could be for example telemetry cable. Unfortunately the unit might require inspection and repair.
