I have taking a break from flying RC Heli's for a few years and decided to get back in an update a Spirit Pro system on my Synergy 516. My spirit software is probably 3 years old or so.

After updating to the latest 3.7.0 version, I am unable to get the software to recognize the Spirit. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I am plugging the USB connector into the computer then placing the other end in the "sys" port on the Spirit. I am also plugging in a Lipo to the ESC to power the system.

Advice would be most appreciated.

Hello,
try it in an other sequence -

At first put power on Spirit, that can be done with for example 4-Cells of NiCd (4,8V) -
Wait till the FBL has bootet and initialisiesd (solid Blue LED) -
Then put the USB-Connector in the spirit SYS-Port and look at the polarity...
After that put the USB-Plug into the computer -
This done then you should start the Spirit-Settings-Program -
The program should recognise the port and the connected system -
Then you can do your setup -

So I have done this all the time and it works flawless -

Regards

Hint: Download the current software for your operating system and install this, then update your FBL-System
