I’m experiencing sluggish/delayed response trying to stabilize the helicopter during hover. on the maiden flight (B412 LA Fire & Rescue 800 Size Scale Helicopter) I would like your input to what gain setting or any other setting that I need to apply in the Spirit GTR. I’m using it with the Jeti Radio.

First if you are use to flying non scale the weight difference is almost double what you are use to, with batteries you may be approaching 20 pounds. If it’s the 4 blade Roban model your cyclic phase should be something close to 38 degrees (something you don’t have to deal with flying 2 blade models). Also you are flying flat bottom blades now. Just a few things off the top of my head you can check.

In the spirit setting go to “advanced” go down to “expert setting” than go to “cyclic phase”. Line up one set of blades with helicopter. When you give elevator the blades in line should not move and the blades at 90 degrees should move. Adjust cyclic phase till you get this affect. Some call it gyroscopic progression. You should be able to find some youtube vids about it.
