spirit GT Question
I'm new to this, but that is the Rescue (Automatic) function. When you trigger it, the GT stores the altitude and performs the rescue maneuver. As long as you keep the channel high (switch on) when you drop below that altitude it triggers again automatically. You cancel it by setting the channel low. If you want to set a new altitude, to replace the one that is in effect, you flip the switch OFF and ON. It will store the new altitude and perform the rescue maneuver once again. To land you have to flip the switch off. You can poke around in the receiver channel mapping screen under channels and check it out.
But to answer your question. The rescue, stabilization modes and coax mode work on a combination of barometric pressure and the IMU. They do not require the Geolink.
