I am using a Spirit WAVE radio with a Spirit W1 unit and a YGE ESC on a 700 size SAB IL Goblin Pro helicopter. I have not used a tachometer to very, but based on what I hear, my best guess is that I am flying at around 1900rpm. My telemetry RPM readings show numbers around 32 to 33. I entered the correct motor pole count on and gear ratio on both the Spirit W1 unit AND on the YGE ESC.
My best guess is the telemetry head speed readings are in Hertz, as 32Hz = 1,920rpm. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how do I make the head speed read in RPM rather than Hertz?
WAVE radio: telemetry RPM readings
You have to set RPM just at one side, not both. When configured at both ESC and radio, YGE will do the recalculation and Wave as well, resulting in very low RPM reading.
Please set YGE to defaults for Gear Ratio and Motor Poles.

I will give that a try. I have a follow up question on this topic. I noticed that the telemetry allows me to obtain "RPM" either from the ESC and/or the Spirit unit. What would be the difference between those 2 RPM telemetry readings? Is one reading better than the other?
