Hello ,
flown today with new geolink .
calibrated and led was blue ,telemetrie has shown gps data.
altitude and position hold works like a charm.
return to home(4) tried to fly to the table where i connected the lipo ,not the lift of position, far away from my face .
how is the return position set by geolink ?

should i connect lipo at takeoff pos ?

thanks Michael

I would like to know how to do this as well as you!
It's a shame no body has replied ;(

As for connecting battery at take off location: that should not be needed because, as stated in the documentation Home(4) take off location is set by the Spirit system "detecting by vibration and barometric change" I cannot find the documentation that states what I have written in quotes, I just seem to remember some statement like that.

Spirit manual https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... On_.284.29
States that...
2 Easy Example
Example setup is the easy way to set Return to Home for a practical usage. Whenever you need, you will only need to flip a switch on your radio. The model will return to a lift off position and will hover at around 30 meters. You can change Return Altitude to any level you wish.

2.1 Setup
Enable Return to Home in the GeoLink - Aid Tab.
Set F: GeoLink Return to Home function in the General - Channels window and select a free channel in your radio.
Set this channel also in your radio to a 2-state switch.
For active position of the channel limit the value in your radio to 40%.
By limiting the channel to 40% only Mode (4) is used. There no Home position is needed to set. It is programmed automatically during each lift off.
My question is: How does the system know that I have set Mode (4) if it has not been set before flight.
What I mean is it seems a chicken and egg thing!

Or is there some location in the GeoLink gizmo that stores the last take off location? So that when we flick a switch and set 40% on the designated channel, the Spirit system looks in the GeoLink gizmo for the last take off location?

Hello,

the system can use Mode (4) at any moment, because take off position is saved automatically to the memory even if this Mode (4) is not programmed.
So you can even switch between fixed Home position that was programmed to the Spirit memory permanently with normal Mode (1) or you can use (4) to return model to take off position.
You can see which mode is active at the GeoLink, Aid Tab or General - Channels.
