Hello folks,
i'm trying to find a suitable setting to fly my protos 380. The mechanical setup of the heli is done using soko heli tool and should be as close as possible.
Usually i have flown (ok, i call myself an advanced beginner) vstabi on my Logo 400 and Logo 600SE. Because of a switch to jeti, i bought a spirit gtr.
Have done basic setup with the wizard (selected the protos 380) and governer of the spirit is configured (hw platinum v4).
Vibration Levels are around 20 (should be ok for a used heli i guess).
Yesterday i did spool it up without any stabilization enabled. And here is my first problem: It is such a nervous beast and i was fighting hard to hold the heli just in place (hovering).
Cyclic inputs are very aggressive even i use 30% of expo in my radio (Jeti DS14V1). A stable hovering flight was not possible at that time. I expected a similar behaviour as i was used to from vstabi.
If the mechanical setup was right, i could put my hands of the sticks on my logos with the vstabi. With the spirit gtr, no way to leave the sticks alone.
On the second flight i did activate the stabi mode: Stabilization (normal) and the heli immediately turns in to a great flying machine!
Before starting to tweak more parameters (i did play with flight style already, but no big difference) i have to mention, that someone had similar issues unless he did a complete factory reset of the unit.
After this reset, and a new programming session, the heli behaved completely different. Some people also reported, that windy conditions did not impress the spirit much.
Yesterday was also a bit windy, and the heli was drifting around alot.
One last thing: If i initalize the spirit on the desk and put it to the place where i want to takeoff (gras strip), i have to use a slight roll input to the right before pitch.
Otherwise the heli wants to flip to the left side. If i initialise it at the place i also takeoff, it takes off without the need of a roll input to correct the swash plate.
I attached my config file and hope that someone can tell me where to tweak parameters to get a nice flying machine.
Thank you and see u later!
Thomas
