I have a ZTW Skyhawk 160A ESC and I am trying to get telemetry values on my Spirit GT running the latest firmware Heli 4.0.0

When I connect to the ESC with my bluetooth adapter and use my iphone app with parameter 15 (telemetry) set to "live data" I get telemetry values on my iphone app.

When I go to the Spirit software advanced page and select ESC telemetery all data is showing 0 values (not N/A).

If I use my iphone app to set parameter 15 (telemetry) to "SBUS2" I no longer get telemetry values on my iphone app (which is exactly what I would expect)

When I go to the Spirit software advanced page and select ESC telemetery all data is showing 0 values (not N/A).

My ESC is connected to the SAT 1 port of my Spirit GT wired the same way as the Telem OMP cable.

I have read the Wiki guides and am unable to get the telemetry data to appear on the Spirit software.

I have tried removing power and restarting Spirit GT and ESC but nothing will give me telemetry data in the Spirit software

My Futaba receiver (R2008SB) is connected via SBUS to RUD port of my Spirit GT.
Currently I do not have a Futaba Telemetry receiver but I was hoping I could see the telemetry on the Spirit software before purchasing a new receiver.

Have I done something wrong?

thanks in advance

Hello,

the telemetry protocol shouldn't be set to SBUS2 but to stock option that is compatible with OMP protocol.
I dont know what options are available but for sure it shouldn't be SBUS2. Used receiver/radio does not play any role there. So only right telemetry protocol has to be selected.

Thanks for your quick reply ZeXx86.

In the Spirit software I have "XDFly & ZTW & OMP" selected for the ESC type

My ZTW SKYHAWK ESC parameter 15 only has 2 options , either SBUS2 or Live data. I have now set it to Live data following your advice and I get 0 values as before.

Does this mean that my ESC is not compatible or do I require to wire up the port in a different way?

thanks again

Alan

I think TX/RX pin has to be swapped only.

I have it working now.

To help others who might find themselves with a similar problem. I had wired up my cable to the ESC RPM pin instead of to the ESC TX pin.

Thanks again ZeXx86
