Does Geolink use LiDar if so how and where is the sensor.

All GeoLink v2 has laser sensors for precise measurement. It is used for close proximity functions. You can see laser data in the software.

Is it possible to obstruct the sensor?

Yes, GeoLink will automatically detect there is obstacle. You can still continue using it as GeoLink v1.
