Hi,
I’m wondering if having the Status LED hole uncovered could cause issues and require precautions.
Thanks,
David
Spirit GT Status LED Hole Uncovered
Hi David,
I think that's absolut normal this is in all FBL's (Spirit) since day one -
In the GT you have also telemetry of altimeter and therefore you must have an opening in the case that you get the ambient pressure -
Of course you are right if there comes water in it will not be good -
Best regards
Matthias

Hi Matthias,
The original Spirit and the Spirit Pro, have the hole covered with a translucent film.
Pressure Sensor needs the ambient exposure but this adds the danger of damaging the unit if something conductive, or liquid, gets inside the case.
BTW, if not using the altitude feature, is it ok to cover the hole?
If someone have had issues due to this please share your experience.
Thanks.

No Spirit unit DOES NOT and has never had a covered LED hole. Don't cover anything, it's OK.
