Hello all,
I am trying to set up a scale airplane model with Spirit Wave radio and Spirit GT controller with RX7 receiver. I have Aero 1.8.0 software installed. The model has flaps and retractable landing gear. I would also prefer dual ailerons, but this is not essential.
Going through the set-up "wizard" everything works okay but there seems to be no provision for assigning output channels to the flaps and landing gear. I see there are optional output channels for dual elevator and rudder, but I do not require these.
Is there any way to re-assign these unused output channels for the flaps and landing gear? If so, would you please provide instructions for set-up using the Spirit GT and RX-7?
Thank you in advance for your time and response.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions. Unfortunately, I am still unable to find a solution. Apparently, I do not understand the interface between the Spirit Wave and Spirit GT/RX7 combination.
If anyone has actually set up a fixed wing model with this combination, I would really appreciate step by step instructions on how it was accomplished.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply

Sorry for not being able to help with Aero experience made by myself.
For my understanding "gear" and "flaps" function is not related to the Spirit unit at all. This means, you have to define receiver output pins on appropriate channels (i.e. 7 and 8) and connect your servos to these pins. The definition which channel is assigned to a pin is done via the "Receiver" tab in the Wave. Then assign switches directly to the channels to control gear and flaps ( I think this is done under "Functions").

It's very encouraging that you are so willing to help me. I have a friend who is familiar with the Spirit GT and was able to program it with flaps and gear as well as aileron, elevator and rudder. He was using his FR Sky Transmitter but if all goes well, we are going to try the Wave radio with the RX7 this weekend. If you are wondering, he basically did what you suggested in your last post, so you were definitely pointing me in the right direction. Thanks again for your help!
