12V ESC voltage on the Spirit GT - 12V servos
I have a question for the Spirit community, since I’m thinking about buying a Spirit GT. If I power the FBL with a 12V ESC supply, to support 12V servos, there’s a potential issue from my point of view: I think there will be probably also 12V at the port, where the receiver is connected (S-Bus or Express-LRS receiver). Does the Spirit GT internally regulate the voltage for the receiver input, down to e.g. 5-6V, or is it mandatory to find an external solution, supporting the receiver with the specified voltage in case of using 12V ESC voltage ?
Receiver must support 12V too or you can use Step Down regulator. This can resolve the problem.
For example Spirit Wave receivers all support 12V, so direct connection is possible.

Thank you for the reply. Currently I’m not quite sure what I should decide on, thats live. As a regular flyer, should I swich to a 12V system with the spirit system or not, some Express LRS receiver suppot 12V by native, what woud be your recommendation and would the Spirit 2 Geofence system also be usable with 12V ?......
There is really no need for 12V servos, you can find great servos even with 6V rating.
