Hello All,

First timer here. I may have stumbled onto a bug, or maybe it's something I don't understand.

Background Info: I have a throttle curve for my nitro heli for start up as my first flight mode. It is NOT a flat curve as I adjust start up idle for environmental conditions. I have Bank 0 without governor and Bank 1 with governor enabled.

The problem: if I have bank 1 enabled and just LOOK at the throttle curve in the throttle menu, the Wave radio will overwrite my throttle curve to a flat curve. This is a permanent overwrite that I have to correct by switching back to bank 0 and adjust the curve again. it will save correctly and I can confirm it when leaving the menu and coming back. if I turn bank 1 back on and look at my throttle curve to confirm, it will overwrite it to a flat curve.

why does it do this? is it a bug?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Can anyone else replicate the issue? I know it’s not a huge deal, but as a first timer on spirit, it was annoying.

Hi, I'm new here too, and I just got my Wave as well. That's why I'm not an expert yet either.
Regarding your question: In every flight mode, you'll see the “Curve” display followed by a number. By default, it's set to 1. This means you're creating the curve using only one value. To get a curved path, you need to set the value to 5 or 7 points.
Maybe that’s the reason for your issue.

Hello,

first please make sure that your Throttle Curve is not shared between Flight Modes and that your radio is updated.
There is possibility to share curves between Flight Modes so this could cause problem.

Also instead of Bank Switching it could be much better to use Flight Mode dependent settings which can be enabled individually for each Spirit parameter by long press (at the value) where you can see 2 nearby dots.

Thanks for the reply.

To confirm the questions. Yes, I understand the # of points can be selected on each curve. The curves are not shared between flight modes. I am using 4.04 on the Spirit 3 and 1.0.31 on the wave.

I have been able to confirm it on multiple occasions. The radio overwrites any curve with a non flat curve if you enable the bank with governor enabled while you are looking at the curve on the screen. it is very simple to recreate should you need to replicate for debugging.

ZeXx86, I have not been able to do what was recommended in your post about long pressing parameters. is this referenced somewhere in the manual or YouTube video?
Also what would be a good way to have a non-governed flight mode for start up? then switch to a governed mode?

Thanks again!!
