I've just bought a Logo 550 and I'm excited to try a Spirit GT for the first time.
One thing that's slowed me down is the adapters.
I'm using:
Spirit GT
Spektrum SPM4651T (SRXL2)
Castle Edge HV120
Castle telemetry cable
Spirit governor
I can source the Castle telemetry adapter, but I can't find the Spirit SRXL2 adapter (SPM4651T to Spirit GT) anywhere in the UK, and it's out of stock on the Spirit website too.
I'm considering making my own adapter, as it appears to be just a passive wiring harness.
From the manual and the official adapter photos, my understanding is:
Pin 1 = SRXL2 signal → AIL signal (top pin of ELE/PIT/AIL)
Pin 2 = Not connected
Pin 3 = +V → RUD +
Pin 4 = GND → RUD -
However, my SPM4651T lead has the wires:
Red / Grey / Orange / Black
whereas the official adapter photos use different wire colours, so I don't want to rely on colours alone.
Can anyone confirm that the 4-pin JST connector pinout is:
Signal
NC
+V
GND
before I build the harness?
I'd rather ask than risk putting 7.2 V from my BEC onto the SRXL2 signal line.
