Multiple emails to Spirit Systems have been ignored, which is not at all cool, so I'll ask my question here. I have a Spirit FBL in an Align 470LP helicopter. I bought that FBL in late 2016. It might be the first model they ever sold, but I can't be sure, so I'm not sure what the official product name is. Is this FBL compatible with the GeoLink v2? And if so, is it safe to assume that it will provide solid position hold. I want to use this as a rescue tool. If I release the sticks, I want the helicopter to stop and hover on its own. Considering the age of this FBL, are there features of the GeoLink v2 that might not work, or will it be fully compatible?
Hi,
Let me try to help out.
Saying that I would personally match the Geolink V2 with a newer version of updated hardware such as a Spirit GT / Spirit 3. Thats just me...

If you connect you Spirit to the Spirit Settings application the [connection] section should show the details, such as Unit type - The name of the unit, and Version. With this someone from Spirit can confirm compatabilityI bought that FBL in late 2016. Since the model is unkown for now, have you connected it to the geolink? do you see the GPS location data in the software? if yes then theres a high chance it will since its connected and sending data to the unit, I would first try position hold and tune that.Is this FBL compatible with the GeoLink v2?
