Hi,

I have 2 sats on my trex 550 and the one on the RUD port drops out if I run the servos hard eg pitch pumping. I can easily recreate the fault on the work bench pitch pumping or hitting the bail out several time.
I have a 12amp BEC running at 5.7V.

Any thoughts. I believe I have enough amps from the bec.
Is it possible that there is to much of a voltage drop on the adapter lead for the second sat?

OK, quick follow up.

I increased the BEC to 7.4 volts (over running the servos now) and the fault has 100% gone.

Would appear the inline voltage regulator in the sat lead doesn't like 5.8 volts.

Your Bec is most probably not sufficient and can't handle such load. If you are using Tarot adapter then it is more sensitive for low voltage.
Unfortunately I highly recommend to not fly with it, because load in the flight is few times higher and can cause serious issue- especially when the rescue mode is activated.
Voltage is dropping under 3.3V. With higher voltage on the BEC drops are little bit smaller but during the flight Voltage will be much lower.

The easiest solution could be to add capacitor to your BEC, but it could be not enough in some cases.
What is your BEC?
