Finally flew my 550L dominator for the first time today, really happy. However, bailout and stabilization both worked well until I had flown for a while. After a couple of rolls and flips and 1 bad piro flip the stabilization and bail out was about 30 degrees from level (bailout forced the heli up and to the right instead of just up). Is this a common problem?
Is this a vibration issue? I cant find a vib log? is there such a thing?
I have since replaced the mounting/foam tape and checked all wires and seems pretty isolated. Interestingly I tried it on the bench. I rocked the helicopter gently back and forth, then levelled it again and activated stability mode. The swash leans slightly to the right (tail in). This is on a bed, without the motor running, using a pitch gauge on the head to check I had returned the helicopter to it's previous upright position. I have tried extended signal processing and it made the movement to the right less pronounced but it is still there...
Testing it in this way is unfortunately not correct. Bailout is learning all the time, but if you are not moving with sticks then it is not same as during a flight. For testing you can use method mentioned in troubleshooting page. Described test can even make inprecision even worse.
