Hello all,
I think this Spirit forum is a great place to share all information about the Spirit. Currently I'm setting up my first one on an Oxy 3. So far I'm really impressed with the Spirit. At this moment I'm doing some troubleshooting with the Oxy itself, I have a lot of vibration. For this, I've added my vibration analysis logs without the main and tail blades. Are there any pointers for me to look into?
Spirit on Oxy 3 setup
Hello Thomas,
first from all, is it right that your head speed is 4800RPM?
It seems that problematic is either something on the main rotor and in the rudder as well.

I think without blades it could reach up to 4800 rpm. Maybe this is too high for vibration testing since it won't reach this rpm in flight, I think 3700 would be a bit more usable on my setup. I will look into lowering my rpm for testing and flying.
It is OK, lower RPM will cuse just smaller spikes.
But if it is without main blades, than with blades it can be even 5x worse.
So definitively I recommend to check bearings/gears/shaft on the rudder and main rotor too.
