We can just test both your units and verify that they are 100% OK.
Thanks. The first unit is now on a Goblin 570 and flying great. And as I mentioned I'm going to try the second unit on my HD Cell. I really don't think it is the FBL. It is just some combination in my setup that may not play well with Spirit specifically.

One thing I did not try that was brought to my attention was to disconnect my jlog and TM1000 so I'm flying only FBL and Rx. It's true they could have been creating noise. And I am currently having an issue with the TM1000 staying connected through the entire flight (and it isn't antenna placement issue).

But unless something is wrong with the units to be replaced, I don't fly without them and would use another FBL that would work. I love my mah consumption timer and wouldn't give that up :)

... lost complete control while the unit does several flips before I regain control
... seems to be random
... low volt warning
... I'm wondering if it was just catching when I pull the plug on the kosmik at 6.6v and the optipower UG kicks in at 6.1
... UG was y-adapter on the aileron/pitch servo
... issue with the TM1000 staying connected
... when I moved the FBL unit around on the heli the interaction changed
on the manu recommended rigid spot the Spirit was the worst. When moved to the Rx tray the extreme issue disappeared
Somewhere I found this:
Can I use the Ultra Guard 430 with a BEC?
Yes you can but you need to be aware that this is a safely device and will cut in if your BEC fails. Some BEC do not like a back feed voltage so do not test the unit leaving the BEC connected and pulling the main flight battery leads off as this will back feed the BEC. Isolate the BEC to test by removing the BEC leads. Do not reset until the UG430 is switched off. This way it will relearn the system voltage and set below it.
Scary and mysterious.
Something with the electric/wiring must be wrong.
I would check carefully every wire.
Try to remove everything that is not absolutely required (e.g. TM1000, Ultra Guard 430, Y-cable ...)

Was able to fly mostro today on ar7200bx and get it tuned. It flies great.

Must of been something between electronics and spirit that wasn't happy. Too bad. Wanted to run spirit on it. Hopefully 3sx turns out good.

Great,

yes, to verify where is really problem you have to connect it exactly same as Spirit unit as AR7200BX has very different wiring, so it can eliminate ton of different problems.

Do you think ground loop issue could cause this error? I've identified that my jlog was the problem with my hard stops and it may be because the wiring from kosmik is wrong and causing ground loop.

Definitively such error shouldn't happen at all and is always result of affecting the unit negatively, so then it can't work correctly. Every aspect of the unit can theoretically be affected if there is "bad" power supply.
Yes, we always recommend to disconnect every unnecessary stuff if you are checking what may be wrong.

Spirit still on mostro. Will try wiring it up again without jlog.
