hi im running gaui x3 with hobbywing 50a v3.setting up gov, ive plugged in rpm sensor to pit pin and gone through the setup making sure i do everything accurately.when i spool up on the bench im getting requested rpm,but nothing for current rpm.ive put in correct values for ratio, max headspeed, motor poles etc.any ideas why it is not showing current rpm?also when running a gov, should throttle be set to somethiing below 100% so there is a little headroom for throttle if needed?and lastly i regularly have flight logs available after uneventful flights showing everything from reciever signal lost, low power, main loop hang occurred plus others.why does it do this?if my flights seem perfect with no problems.thanx.spirit has been awesome so far, great work.

Hi,

first you have to see value in Current RPM. Make sure that your RPM is not too low when testing (more than 400RPM). So you should see the value in approx. 2 seconds with your ESC.

Yes, you can set throttle curve below 100%, but it will work even with 100% TC. Important is that the value will not exceed mechanical possibilities of your motor/blades as it can't spin faster.

is there something im missing?rpm was way above 400rpm.if im getting reading from requested rpm does that mean gov is wired up correctly?(hw 50a v3 rpm sensor plugged into pit pin)anything else that might be causing this?

With Hobbywing there are not many possibilities what could be wrong.
It is important to set the Mode parameter, then save the settings and restart the unit. Then all should work.

You have to see Current RPM value.

Do you use external BEC? RPM output connector must be connected to the middle pin (PIT).
