This is very bad - unit should boot in about 5 seconds. I am afraid, but your unit is most probably defective if it takes longer than 10 seconds.
We are always checking each unit before shipping so each unit must work perfectly. It is passing few various tests so any failure like this is excluded.
Unfortunately this issue could happen when unit's pin is hitted by a strong static discharge (from finger). Symptoms are that the unit is strangely blinking with the Status LED during initialization, not smoothly pulsing.
In this case, it will be necessary to send it to us so we can examine the unit carefully. We will be able to find reason why it happened and of course if there will be something wrong, we will fix it under warranty and ship it back in 1 day.
But we are perfectly sure, that the unit was OK during shipping, but unfortunately even shipping process can lead to damage due to strong X-ray scannings, ultrasound devices, etc. In this case we will also fix it for free as you can't affect it.
Sorry for the problems, at least we have found the reason, why it can't work. The unit will not work correctly in other areas too if there is really such damage. If you can ship it to us, it can be fixed and back with you in one week.
