When you engage Position Hold it should do exactly same thing when engaging Coaxial mode - basically nothing.
So if you can see swashplate is tilting somewhere it is issue (if model is really in horizontal position)
Are you sure that you are not engaging Return to Home or other feature? It should be visible in the Diagnostic tab.
Could it be faulty GeoLink? Very likely no.
Mounting position looks good.

Only Position Hold is ticked - I engage it using a channel at the same time as Coaxial. Definitely no other rescue function or RTH is enabled.
The swashplate tilting only happened after the alteration of settings. I will try a compass calibration again and see if it is stable - it certainly did not hold position, it acted a lot like when just in coaxial mode, gentle drifting back, forth, left & right.
Everything is levelled correctly and it flies well in just coaxial mode. I can't help but think it's something to do with the angle that the Geolink is sat at on the boom, is this a problem on Goblins? If I Zero it out it does not seem to stay at Zero the next time I start it up on a flat surface.
What can I try next?

I am not sure if I understand you properly.
But Position Hold must be enabled without Coaxial mode.
So that in the Diagnostic tab Stabilisation mode should be inactive when Position Hold is engaged.
Mounting position shouldnt be a problem even when tilted little bit.

than that is my problem - I have Coaxial mode and Position Hold both enabled at the same time.... Doh!
I will try that and report back, thank you

Ok, I turned off Coaxial mode, Stabi Correction is off, Position Hold is on - Helicopter does not stay in 1 position when I release the sticks - I have the Position hold set to 90%.
If I turn off position Hold the Helicopter flies exactly the same as with the Position Hold switched on.
Good news is I have authority over the heli, it is not drifting at all

I've just read the manual again and on this page:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... figuration
it says:
3.1.1 Stabi function
By default all GeoLink features are engaged as soon as a Stabi function is active. For example if Coaxial or Rescue mode is engaged the GeoLink feature is engaged as well and complement operation of a Stabi function by acting simultaneously.
We recommend to set Stabi/Function to Coaxial mode for Geo-fence, Return to Home and Position Hold features.
So the manual says it's ok to engage both at the same time?

Very well,
it should be just set, but not engaged at the same time.
Then please set Stabi Correction ON and all might be OK

Changed to those settings and nearly crashed - with Position Hold on I had to give full right aileron and forward elevator in order to not crash.

Anyone got any suggestions on this one?

Hello,
if vibrations are high then Stabi Correction ON will not work well, also for any other Stabilisation/Rescue mode.
Now it depends if you wish to check and fix the vibrations which as result will give the best results.
Or you can just leave Stabi Correction OFF or if the problem persist to enable Signal Processing - Extended.
In this section you can find the correct procedure when Drifting is happening:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... g#Drifting
This is basically what we are trying to resolve.
You said that there was some success with previous settings, can you explain in a greater detail what was wrong exactly?
It should work so that when you engage Position Hold it will hold position (not altitude). It might be few centimeters until model will stop completely and there it will hold (approximately +/- 10cm precision can be achieved) if you are not touching sticks.
