Oh, I typed in all the numbers on the governor page and set it for 3000 rpm.
I have to say, pretty damn accurate result.
Max. rpm is at 100% flat TC.

9. go around and try again without landing
10. throttle hold on, begin 2nd auto rotation
11. successfully land auto rotation
12. YEAH!!! lets do another one, throttle hold off, head spools up slowly since it's no longer emergency
13, goto step 5
Note there is no bank switching to change mode from "electric" and "electric (fast spoolup)". Heli is in "Electric" mode the entire time.

Yes, this scenario is supported.
It is working without banks too.
There are two bailout modes available:
- slower
- faster
Slower
This is working normally without any configuration. Just deactivate your Throttle Hold and in dependency on your previous RPM vs time duration it will set spoolup rate. Algorithm is adaptive so it can't be described really easily. Rate is multiplied by Mode parameter too.
Normally it should be fine for most users.
Faster
Rather used for combustion helicopters, but will work with electric too.
To make it work perfectly you have to set Throttle Output to 1250us or higher. If the value is lower it will cause that you will no longer see Current RPM, instead there will be zero - this will turn on Slower bailout.
Until Throttle Output is not less than spoolup rate is 2 times faster than Mode (Fast spoolup).

So in landing an auto, what should I ensure I do before taking off again? I mean my head speed could still be fast if I landed it quickly. Should I wait for head speed to drop low before re-engaging, so as to ensure a slower spool up?

Or, perhaps I'm misunderstanding. Do you mean to say that at the time you engage throttle hold, the gov remembers the last seen rpm. It then computes a start up ramp based on the time delta between throttle hold being activated and when it's disabled. So, if you spend a short time in th, spool is quick, on the assumption it's more likely you aborted the auto. If you spend a long time in th, the assumption is you landed it, so spool is slower? I'm assuming in the above that current rpm is also taken into account. So a very short time in th, with a *low* rpm would NOT provide a slow spool up ...

So to be 100% clear, HOLD on your transmitter can be 0% throttle.
Changing HOLD to 25% throttle and also using a throttle off (0%) switch/position will not change the Spirit bailout function, correct?

Maybe this adaptive thing did something funny with my Spirit.
On normal spoolup it suddenly looked like I had twice the normal spoolup rate.
Like if my ESC did a slow spoolup and after that the Spirit did a slow spoolup as well.
I switched to fast spoolup and all is well.

Anybody tried auto bailout yet? I've landed, switched in/out of TH, and it did the slow spool up. I have not tried it when in the air yet...

Hi,
on my heli with Hobbywing Platinum V3 ESC, the Autorotation Restart Time is way to slow.
The ESC is set to "Heli Governor Off" and in Spirit, the Governor mode is set to "Electric".
In the video, I have landed the heli with 3200 RPM, hit TH ON and then immediately TH OFF, and watch how slow the headspeed started to rise. Is this how it should be, or have I done something wrong...?
