Hi, beginning to get my head around this. Still leaning the engine out and will try some different settings. Only tried 4&4 and 5&4.
It looks like it does prevent overspeeding quite well. I also want to have a careful look at the servo resolution and linkage position.
During this tank, I landed, made small carb adjustments and took off again. I fair bit of pitch pumps and FFF with lots of load.
Ps. Not sure why the spike is there.

Hi, thank you for the report.
I am sure that you can make it better, especially with Governor Response.
You can gradually increase it, until you will see overspeeding during for example pitch pumps.

Need help please !! I'm staring blind at this now and cannot figure it out. What am I missing ?
I tried to increase the RPM from the initial flights, without success. Small increases in the throttle curve makes no impact on headspeed and then it jumps to 2,200+ . I know from the gasser gov thread that it is my setup, but not no avail. The setup :
Trex 600 (CHP frame) with YS 60sr. Spektrum DX9 with telemetry. Ball inks 11 mm for both. Throttle link 57 mm. Diag screen shows -100 +100.
The first problem (and probably the crucial one) is that I cannot get the throttle to reach 100% under power. Without power I can move the throttle thru the whole range without any binding. Under power, it doesn't matter whether I use tx trim, or throttle travel in the software, I cannot get more than 95%.
I can rotate the barrel (current setup for hover / carb 40% at 50% throttle curve), but then I reach flying headspeed before the gov engages.
What is wrong please? How to get 0 to 100 % throttle with hover at 50% ?

Hi, i had another good look at this, after another flying session without any success.
I resolved the servo travel issue by mounting the servo from the inside to straighten the link and servo travel settings. The issue at present is that when I engage the gov, it races to max RPM and ignores what my throttle curve is set at. I looked at it on the bench :
Throttle curve is 0, 25, 50, 50, 50 . 50% throttle shows a Requested RPM of 1,275 RPM. I know from telemetry that 39% throttle gives me 1,800 headspeed. When the gov engages, it is already well above the requested headspeed.
Is it possible that the unit doesn't throttle back properly ?
I guess the test would be to have a throttle curve of 0, 50, 50, 50, 50 and move the stick fast enough past gov engage point so that it is already engaged, before the RPM passes the requested value. Or switch from Hold - idle - to flat 50% in IU1. will try this, later on in the week.

Hi,
you are correct.
To engage governor your current RPM should be lower than requested.
So normally motor should stay at idle RPM and then you should switch directly to flat throttle curve by changing e.g. flight mode.
Your requested RPM shouldn't be that low - this is calculated by your TC in the transmitter. So you should just increase it.
