I woke up this morning and thought why not try the BT module on my other heli that BT worked with originally to see if it still worked there.

When I plug both the power lead to Ch0 for power and the bt module signal lead into SYS (making sure connections are right as well), it did connect. Interesting enough though, I have my original heli it first worked on properly - still at V2.1.0 firmware (I need to upgrade for sure and will do). When I plugged the blue tooth module in it did connect briefly, long enough to tell me the Software and firmware do not match (FW at 2.1.0 and SW at 2.3.x. I m guessing the BT module read my SW on the E5 and saw it was at V2.3.x and expected also to see same SW on my original heli that I have ot yet upgraded but will do.

I did upgrade SW and FW on my new Synergy E5 I just maidened, so I bet the BT module when I tried to connect it there and did not have common ground thought now that the BT module should expect to see same version of SW as the latest that was on my E5? I will upgrade to have latest FW and SW on both heli's, then try to connect to my original heli with common power source and grounds, and then try it with the E5 with a common ground at latest SW and FW and bet it will work again properly on the E5. I will report back.

I conclude that the BT module must expect the same level Firmware and Software across all heli's you plan to use it with - correct?
As well as a common ground for power for the BT module as well.

ALL BLUETOOTH PROBLEMS SOLVED! Thanks so much Tomas and team!

The trick is:
1). to have ALL your heli's with Spirit Pro at the latest Firmware and Software Levels
2). ensure your power to the Bluetooth module comes from the same power source like your BEC etc in your heli for all components to ensure a common ground across all components that are powered, (ie don't use external Rx pack like I was trying to do to power the BT module).
3). Pair the BT Module to your cell phone or computer, then use FREE excellent, easy to use Spirit Settings App from Google Play for Android in my case.
4). It connects the first time and works great now on all my heli's!
