How about using a battery pack to power it. I have a life pack I used on my trex600.

If your servos can handle this voltage, then there is no problem. You can try it and we will see.
So you can just try plugging/unplugging the battery as many time you can until you will see "no input" issue.

But please be carefull as wrong polarity of the battery can damage everything.

Ok I used the life pack. Tried it 20 times, it worked every time. I then hooked the talon backup and on the third try it failed. So now I guess do I try the cap or as you stated once it is initialized I won't have this problem.

Good. So the problem is really related to the BEC.
You can try the capacitor as it is the cheapest way. There are also capacitors for Spektrum users that can be bought in some RC stores.
It is really better to solve the issue.

Can you give me some more info on what size cap and were should it be installed. Also do you have more info on the spektrum caps.
